Prevalensi Body Mass Index Mahasiswa Program Studi Administrasi Kesehatan Angkatan 2021

Abstract

Kurangnya aktivitas fisik akan mempengaruhi tubuh manusia dan menyebabkan masalah kesehatan terus meningkat. Kegemukan pada remaja telah meningkat dalam beberapa dekade terakhir. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui prevalensi body mass index mahasiswa program studi Administrasi Kesehatan angkatan 2021. Penelitian ini merupakan studi deskriptif kuantitatif. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi dengan pengukuran body mass index. Penelitian dilaksanakan di laboratorium FIKK UNM. Subject dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa program studi Administrasi Kesehatan angkatan 2021 yang berjumlah 178 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengukur berat badan dan tinggi badan dengan tujuan mengetahui body mass index. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dengan persentase yaitu jumlah kategori dibagi jumlah keseluruhan sampel dikali seratus persen. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan prevalensi mahasiswa underweight sebesar 28,6%, normal 60,7%, overweight 2,8% dan obesitas 7,9%. Mayoritas body mass index mahasiswa menunjukan hasil yang normal yaitu sebesar 60,7% dan 87% diantaranya adalah perempuan. Hasil ini menandakan rata-rata nilai  dalam kategori baik
